I’ve been saying for a while now that I’m waiting for something to go wrong with this project because so far, everything has been surprisingly easy. My interviewees have been great, the shots I’ve got so far are perfect but unfortunately I have encountered my first problem. The audio for my interview with Doug Williams isn’t exactly great. A lot of background noise means you can barely hear what he and I are talking about. I know there is a fix for background noise but I’m not sure if there is a fix for background noise of this capacity which worries me. For now I’m just going to move on and edit elsewhere in the documentary and come back to that issue on Monday as I have decided to edit at home this weekend on my laptop and I don’t have adobe audition. I’m quite worried given the fact that this interview was so good but I’m sure that I can find a work around for this issue and if not, I may only be able to use a small portion of the interview or if a worst case scenario happens, I may have to see if Doug is available for another interview, however given his schedule as one of Britains greatest ever wrestlers…that seems unlikely. Right now I feel like I had my shot at this great interview and blew it, despite the fact that the audio on the night sounded fine. I’m hoping this isn’t the case because this interview can really take this doc to the next level in my opinion. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Until next time.
